What we have here are five hopelessly lost souls, all stacked up in a bar on Valentine’s Day 1974. The stories they share are essentially their thoughts. All are dealing with the fallout from the euphoria of the ‘60s into the coldness and disillusionment that were the ‘70s, and none of them are dealing with it well. As the director Michael McMahan explains it, "To me it stands as a metaphor for the current state of political disillusionment in the post Obama age, or that is the feeling I intend to convey."
